Why do the insurance companies want me to go to their 'preferred shop'?
Typically the ‘preferred shops’ have agreed to do work at a discounted rate or offer discounts on parts prices. They have also signed contracts agreeing to the insurance companies’ terms. This means that shop is now working for the insurance company first and you as the consumer next. This saves insurance companies money, but is not always in the best interests of you, the one paying the insurance premiums.
Can Mingo's waive my deductible?
We do not make it a practice to waive deductibles. That being said, there are situations in which we can save you money. Each job is different so please stop by and we can see if there is a way we can help out.
What if the repair costs more than the insurance estimate? Who pays the difference?
You will never be asked to pay more than your deductible amount unless you ask for work to be performed that is not part of the accident. Any additional cost associated with the accident damage will be paid by the insurance company directly to the shop. It is a process where the shop submits a supplement to the insurance company. This is often done without much interruption in the repair process and insures a quality, seamless repair.
